THE IN FOCUS DIFFERENCE

Bulk Billed* Radiology Services for the Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and Hunter areas

In Focus Radiology is locally owned and operated by specialised radiologists and operates with the support of our highly skilled medical imaging team. We are passionate about our community, and our business is founded on the desire to create a space where people are valued above everything else; where all patients and referrers are respected and can feel welcomed and supported.

*We Bulk Bill most Medicare eligible services. There is a small out of pocket fee for some highly specialised services. If you are unsure, please speak with one of our friendly staff members prior to your appointment.

The In Focus Difference:
Our patients’ health & wellbeing is at the centre of everything we do.

It is our firm belief that everybody deserves access to quality affordable health care and the ability to receive it in an understanding and non-intimidating setting. Our commitment to you has been further strengthened under the new direction and ownership of Lake Macquarie based Radiologist and Nuclear Medicine Specialist, Dr Shane Fernando, who is passionate about caring for the health of his community. Together with the care of our Radiologists, we work as a team with you and your referring Doctor to provide the highest quality care.

Why choose In Focus?

The advanced technology used at In Focus Radiology captures the x-ray beam using a digital image plate (DR). This means the image is transferred directly onto a computer screen within 3 seconds of taking the picture. Not only is this equipment extremely fast, it is also very sensitive to radiation which effectively allows us to use up to 30% less radiation doses than traditional methods.

All of our staff are highly skilled professionals that possess vast amounts of experience. They are specially trained to apply the correct parameters and techniques to achieve the fine balance between high quality diagnostic images whilst using the “As Low As Reasonably Achievable” (ALARA) principal to minimise radiation exposure to our patients.
