Important COVID-19 Information for our patients

We are seeing a rapid increase in COVID – 19 patients in our local area with numbers expected to grow further. We would like to request your help in order to protect you, our other patients, and practice staff to ensure the continuity of our ability to provide healthcare services to our community.

At this stage, In Focus Radiology Belmont and Warners Bay will remain OPEN, Monday to Friday 8am-5pm. We will close on Saturdays until further notice.

We will continue to BULK BILL all patients for all Medicare eligible services. Services not covered by Medicare will still attract a small fee. Please contact us if you are unsure.

As always at In Focus Radiology, we maintain the highest level of Universal Hygiene Practices and will continue to do so. We have increased our internal and professional cleaning schedule, introduced social distancing measures and implemented a stringent screening process to prevent any high risk, potential COVID-19 patients from entering the practice. Please be patient with us as we continue with our screening process. Our aim is to keep you and our community safe.

1.  If you or your patient has:

    • Fever / high temperature / chills OR
    • Flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue OR
    • Shortness of breath

and has either

    • been tested for the COVID-19 infection (nasal swab PCR) with a positive result (confirmed case) OR
    • returned from overseas in the last 14 days OR
    • been in close contact with a confirmed case in the past 14 days but is as yet, untested or unconfirmed as being infected (suspected case)

please do not use In Focus Radiology for medical imaging.

We ask that patients attend the local health service where appropriate resources have been allocated to correctly manage the risk of spread from these high-risk cases.

2.  If you or your patient has:

    • Fever / high temperature / chills OR
    • Flu-like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and fatigue OR
    • Shortness of breath

but does not have any of the other risk factors and needs to attend our clinic for any test or procedure please phone us or advise your patient to do this before presenting at the clinic even if the appointment is urgent, so we can prepare for your appointment and provide you with the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

Our number is 4915 7477 (Warners Bay) & 4911 9100 (Belmont)

3.  If you or your patient needs a medical imaging service, we kindly ask that patients please attend the practice alone. If a support person is required, please limit this to one person. They may be asked to wait outside if you do not need them for the examination. We would like to limit the number of persons within the practice, especially if they do not need a service themselves.

4.  All patients:

    • Please Gel Hands with the hand santitzer provided upon arrival and throughout your visit in the practice.
    • Please be mindful to maintain social distancing of 1.5m from any person in the practice. This will be difficult for some examinations however, we will do all we can to limit your time in the practice and with the technician or doctor.
    • Please stand behind any balustrades in place to help maintain safe distances for you and our staff.

5.  Where possible, please upload your referral here, prior to attending the practice to limit the exchange of documents between you and our staff.

We understand this is an extremely difficult and challenging time for all. We are here to support you and manage your healthcare needs as best we can. Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.

We thank you for your understanding and assistance.
