Testicular or Scrotal Ultrasound
Ultrasound is typically used to assess masses felt by the patient or doctor, diagnose results of trauma to the scrotal area, diagnose causes of testicular pain or swelling and evaluate the cause of infertility. Since ultrasound is very effective in assessing soft tissue it is the ideal method to examine the contents of the scrotal sac.
